1. NO venomous reptiles of any kind are allowed. This includes surgically altered venomous animals. No crocodilians (crocodiles, alligators, caimans and gavials) are allowed. The city of Arlington has an ordinance prohibiting all venomous reptiles and all crocodilians. Mangrove snakes are not permitted in Arlington, TX, so please do not have any on your table. Please refer to the following link for more information.
2. We highly encourage our vendors to provide captive bred or quality “farm raised” or “captive hatched” reptiles. We allow quality imported animals to be sold, but we do require that vendors inform all buyers that the animals are in fact wild caught, and whether said animals have been tested for and/or treated for internal or external parasites. You must give contact information to the buyer so that you can be reached with any questions or problems. It is strongly suggested you provide care sheets for all reptiles you have for sale.
3. Absolutely no reptiles may be sold at this show which have not fed. This means you have had the reptile in your possession long enough to observe it eating! Bearded dragons must be 2-1/2 inches from snout to vent and eating at least 1/4 grown crickets. Please do not place reptiles on your table that are too young and/or too small.
4. Setup and show times are as follows:
- Friday setup – 6PM to 10PM
- Saturday setup – 8AM to 10AM
- Saturday show hours – 10AM to 5PM
- Sunday open for vendors – 9AM
- Sunday show hours – 10AM to 4PM
5. The expo closes at 4pm on Sunday. Please plan to stay setup at your table(s) until the show is over. If you have to leave before 4pm let us know before the show starts on Saturday.
6. All vendors are responsible for controlling any animals that are removed from displays or other containers and must maintain control of the animals at all times. Lone Star Reptile Expos are not responsible for any injury to a person or property damage resulting from vendors or their customers handling live animals.
7. All animals must be displayed in clean, suitable, secure and humane containers. Do not display inappropriate quantities of animals in one cage. Any reptiles showing signs of mites or ticks, dehydration or illness will be removed by the promoter. Let’s keep this a clean show!
8. Only paid Vendors/Dealers are allowed to sell or display animals during show hours at the show facility only. All animals must be sold by Vendors/Dealers only. Once a “sold” animal leaves the building, it cannot be brought back inside. A “hold for (with the buyer’s name note)” can be kept secure – behind the vendor’s table – if the buyer needs to leave the building temporarily. No sales or transactions can be conducted in the parking lots or lobby of the building.
9. No one is to allow people to come in through the back or side doors. No animals may be brought into the show once the show begins without prior permission from show promoters.
10. Absolutely no weapons of any kind are allowed in the facility during show hours.
11. No dogs, cats, birds or other mammals can be sold or displayed at the show without the prior approval of Lone Star Reptile Expo management.
12. Two vendor name badges will be provided per table. If you are in need of additional badges for any reason, please contact us prior to the event. Only show personnel and registered vendors will be allowed in the room during setup/ breakdown hours.
13. Vendors who are sharing tables or selling animals on consignment for friends are held responsible for animals placed on their tables. Know what you are selling, whether it’s yours or not!
14. All exhibitors are expected to act in a professional manner. Vendors and Attendees that act in an inappropriate manner (angry outbursts, verbal threats or physical violence) will not be invited back for the following show and may be asked to exit the show immediately.
15. Lone Star Reptile Expos cannot be held responsible for damage, theft or injuries and they also reserve the right to expel anyone that is in violation of any of the above rules. The show promoter reserves the right to remove any animal or exhibitor for any reason.
16. If you see anything we need to know about, please tell us immediately. There is security available. Please follow their directions.
